Teeth Whitening

Your journey to a whiter smile starts here

Teeth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic dental procedures in Waterlooville and achieves superb results with a simple treatment. Our dentists treat many of our patients with teeth whitening.

Is whitening teeth damaging?

Using the right product, teeth whitening is safe and helps to lighten teeth as well as remove discolouration and staining.

Many of our patients notice that they feel years younger after having erased the effects of aging, diet and smoking through teeth whitening at The Beeches Dental Practice.

Why should I have my teeth whitened?

A simple way to make your smile healthier and brighter. Some teeth stain quicker than others, whereas others have naturally yellow teeth.

The most common reasons for teeth to get yellow or stained is due to smoking, tea, coffee, red wine or not taking care of teeth and practising good oral hygiene.

How do you know if you can whiten your teeth?

Our dentists will check that your gums and teeth are healthy before recommending teeth whitening products. We will also discuss the shade of whiteness you would like to achieve.

What is the process for teeth whitening?

Our dentists will take records of your upper and lower teeth so we can make customised whitening trays to fit your mouth.

We will then invite you back to check and show you how to wear your bespoke whitening trays, as well as how the kit works. You will be given full instructions including how long to wear them and what to do if your teeth and gums feel sensitive.

Your dentist may ask to see you after a period of time to assess whether the desired look has been achieved.

How long does teeth whitening last?

The effects of tooth whitening can last several years but it is dependent on what you eat, drink, whether you smoke and if you look after your mouth. The whitening solution will not cause damage to your tooth enamel but tooth whitening should only be carried out under the supervision of a fully trained and registered dentist.
